Even though the KWPN became number one in the studbook ranking, the Hanoverian stallion De Niro continues to dominate the WBFSH Dressage Sire Ranking. For the third consecutive year and for the fifth time in total, De Niro has topped the ranking in 2017.
The recently deceased De Niro (by Donnerhall x Akzent II x Wiesenbaum xx) is a league of his own with 32,943 points. His most successful get that contributed to the high score were D'Agostino, Dablino, Deep Impact, and Voice amongst others.
With Don Frederico in 6th place and Don Schufro in 10th place, Donnerhall has three direct sons in the top 10.
The biggest jump on the ranking has been made by the Oldenburg stallion Sir Donnerhall I (born 2001 by Sandro Hitx Donnerhall) who has claimed 7th place coming from 25th place last year.
