An Antango x Fidertanz son has been named champion of the 2017 German Sport Horse (DSP) Stallion Licensing held in Neustadt/Dosse, Germany, on 24-25 November 2017.
Bred and owned by Volkmar and Heike Schadock, the Antango x Fidertanz x Donnerhall sold at auction for 52,000 to Gestut Ahlers in Hatten, Germany.
"A wonderful, modern built nobleman with an uphill side image, which he confirmed on the lunge with an elastic and balanced trot," said Dietmar Schulz who was the dressage representative on the licensing committee.
The Antango was one of just three premium dressage bred stallions. Fifty-two dressage and jumper bred stallions were entered for this licensing and 17 of them were approved.
The other two premium dressage stallions were the Oldenburg bred Millennium x Sir Donerhall x Furst Heinrich, presented by Heinrich Ramsbrock and bred by Jens Roebke, and the Hanoverian bred Quantensprung x Hotline x Dauphin, bred and presented by Karsten Harms. The latter stallion became the price highlight at the auction, selling for 55,000 euro to stallion station Maas J. Hell.
