A minor injury sustained on the last day of the 50-day performance test in Adelheidsdorf on 30 November 2017 prevented the licensed stallion Sensation from successfully completing the testing.
Bred by Claudia Pientok and owned by Dr. Kerstin Klieber, the Westfalian and Oldenburg bred and licensed Snesation (by Sir Heinrich x Casparino x Cordial Medoc).
"The vet diagnosed a minor lameness which is why we pulled back the stallion from the test," said owner Klieber. "Fortunately it's nothing serious, and of course the health of the stallion is priority. We believe in Sensation's qualities so that nothing should be in his way to complete a successful testing next April. It is frustrating that we had received so much positive feedback from spectators and breeders the entire week."
The strong moving stallion was an absolute favourite of the public at the 2016 Westfalian stallion licensing in Munster-Handorf after which he moved to the Dressage Performance Centre Lodbergen to stand at stud.
"Because of his tall size and his busy breeding schedule we gave him much time and scheduled the performance test for the autum. The welfare of the horse is always priority," said the owner. "It will not be a problem for his foals due in 2018 to be registered as soon as he has completed the test."
