Zizi Top Passed Away

The former KWPN licensed breeding stallion Zizi Top has passed away at age 14 on Thursday 11 January 2018. The bay stallion succumbed to internal bleeding. 

Bred by Frank van de Valk and Jacqueline Anholt, Zizi Top was by Tango x Ferro x Officier. He was owned by the breeders in partnership with Joop van Uytert.

He was licensed at the 2007 KWPN Stallion Licensing and scored 83.5 points in the stallion performance test.

Under Isabelle van Zaanen he finished fourh in the 2008 Pavo Cup Finals. In the autumn of 2009 Hans Peter Minderhoud took over the ride. The pair won the 2009 KWPN Stallion Competition in Den Bosch and placed fifth at the 2009 World Young Horse Championships. Minderhoud trained Zizi Top up to small tour level and did his last show in September 2012.

In 2014 Zizi Top moved to the stables of junior rider Laura Quint. She briefly competed him at young riders level with one CDI start at the 2016 CDI Nieuw en St. Joosland, An injury ended the horse's sport career. At the end of 2016 Zizi Top spent his retirement at Ton Koenderink's yard, where he passed away.

Zizi Top sired 213 offspring registered with the KWPN society. His most successful offspring is the Korean owned 8-year old KWPN gelding Favian WH who competed at the 2017 World Young Horse Championships in Ermelo under Belgian Brecht d'Hoore.
