Jennifer Lindvall's Swedish junior rider team horse Jazzmataz has been euthanized. The bay did not properly recover from a serious injury and it was decided in the best interest of the horse to put him down.

Jazzmatazz was a 17-year old Danish warmblood gelding by Jazz out of Diana Mosebo (by Alibi). He was bred by Stutteri Mosebo in Denmark.

The bay gelding began his FEI career under Minna Telde and then became Amanda Borjeson's young riders horse. The pair competed at international Young Riders level in 2012.

In 2014 Jazzmatazz sold to the Lindvall family as a junior rider's schoolmaster for Jennifer, who had finished her pony time on Hynder Hoeve's Ramses.

The pair made its international debut in 2015 at the CDI Odense and further competed at the 2015 Nordic Baltic Championships in Aalborg (and got team silver) and again at the CDI Odense in the autumn that year. They also showed in two of the three rounds at the 2015 Swedish JR Championships. In 2016 they went to the CDI Nieuw en St. Joosland and qualified on the Swedish team for the European Junior Riders Championships in Oliva Nova, Spain, where they landed a 24th place in the individual test. They also earned silver at the Swedish Junior Riders Championships.

Lindvall and Jazzmatazz did their last international at Nieuw en St. Joosland in April 2017. After the event, the horse sustained a severe tendon injury. He was operated on but that did not yield the coveted results. The family hoped to retire Jazzmatazz to the field but a few weeks ago, the gelding was clearly in much pain and could no longer be properly helped.

"We have tried everything we could," Lindvall told Ridsport. "He was very close to me and had a special place in my heart, which will probably be never filled again."

Lindvall is currently based in Denmark as an assistant rider at Rune Willum and Joachim Thomsen's yard. She is now competing the 12-year old Hanoverian Bobcat (by Breitling x Silvano N) at Young Riders level and the family acquired the Danish U25 horse May Candeloro (by Michellino) in January.
