Horses & Dreams Online Auction

The 4-year old Hanoverian stallion De Royal became the price highlight of the first Horses & Dreams Online auction, which began at the start of the Horses & Dreams CDI Hagen competition at Hof Kasselmann last week and concluded on 5 May 2018.

The black De Royal (by De Niro x Royal Dance x Donnerhall) sold for 170,000 euro to American Nancy Gooding. She has been a long-time sponsor of Hubertus Schmidt, who will be training the stallion.

The 6-year old Hanoverian bred Tu Le Merite (by Totilas x Sarkozy x Royal Dance) was the second most expensive horse. The black gelding sold for 130,500 euro to Brazilian Tania Loeb Wald and the ride has been allocated to American Olympian Adrienne Lyle.

The gorgeous 4-year old Westfalian stallion Fribaldi (by Furst Romancier x Sir Donnerhall) was auctioned for 120,000 euro and moves to Australia.

Luxembourg Christof Umbach acquired the licensed stallion Destare (by Danciano x Furst Romancier x Sir Donnerhall) and paid 81,000 euro for the talented 3-year old.

Shiraz (by Sir Donnerhall x Hotline) fetched a price of 72,000 euro, Dandios (by Danciano x Furst Grandios) sold for 41,000 euro, Fountleroy (by Foundation x Bordeaux) switched owners for 35,000 euro, and the KWPN bred Just Dance (by Ferdinand x Just Royal Dancer) sold for 25,000 euro.

A total of eight horses, from promising stars to experienced high quality young horses in training, were offered for sale at the Horses & Dreams Online Auction. Part of Tu Le Merite's auction price will be donated to benefit the BILD-Zeitung charity “A Heart for Children”.

"The first Horses & Dreams Online Auction was a massive success," said a beaming François Kasselmann, who was thrilled with the world wide response Hof Kasselmann got to the auction collection. "We had clients bidding from all over the globe: China, New Zealand, South Africa, America, Brazil. It was very impressive. We are thrilled with the success of this auction as it was the first time that we tried the online auction concept. We will be definitely planning more of these in the future."

Kasselmann is also particularly proud of the exclusive customer service they provide, not only with the PSI auction, but also for online edition.

"All horses are insured for 14 days for the final sales price as soon as the auction ends," said François. "We also offer a year-long insurance policy for all auction horses when the auction insurance expires."
