The 5-year old Vanotti became the winner of the one Bundeschampionate qualification class held at the small regional show in Aulendorf, Germany, on 19 - 21 May 2018. Only the 5-year olds were allowed to battle for a Warendorf entry ticket.
Jasmin Schaudt and her husband Martin's Westfalian gelding Vanotti (by Vitalis x Florestan) was a league of his own in the L-level dressage horse test, which was judged by Heidi Linz, Heinrich Geigl and Ralph Stitz.
Just nine pairs contested this class. The runners-up, Julie Meller-Motzet and Feruccio G, followed in the distance. Owned by Carina Christa, the Westfalian gelding by Franziskus x Don Frederico scored 7.8 and edged out Ines Knoll on Michael Krautter's Wurttemberger bred Floridita (by Foundation x San Landino) with 7.7
