The Dominican Republic Equestrian Federation has named three combinations that will represent that nation in dressage at the 2018 Central American and Caribbean Games, to be held in Bogota, Colombia, in July.
Stephanie Engstrom Koch, a graphic designer from Santo Domingo, will ride Katlyn Flett’s Zen, a fourteen-year old Dutch Warmblood gelding by Riant x Belisar.
Dr. George Fernandez, a Florida state veterinarian from Winter Haven, Florida, is partnered with Yvonne Losos de Muñiz’s Gorktlingaard’s San Tiago, a twelve-year old Danish Warmblood gelding by San Remo x Ferro. San Tiago is out of the same dam as Kasey Perry’s Olympic partner Gorklintgards Dublet.
Yvonne Losos de Muñiz, a profesional dressage rider from Santo Domingo, will ride Kathy Priest’s Fredensdals Zig Zag, a 10-year old Danish Warmblood by Blue Hors Zack x Blue Hors Don Schufro.
The reserve combination is Yvonne Losos de Muñiz with Aquamarijn, a 13-year old Dutch Warmblood mare by United x Gribaldi.
The team coach is Kathy Priest from Versailles, KY, U.S.A.
