The 5-year olds Dominique MJ and Feinrich became the winners of the big Bundeschampionate qualification class that was held in the lead-up to the 2018 CDIO-PJYR "Future Champions" at Hof Kasselmann in Hagen, Germany.
The Bundeschampionate class was hosted on Tuesday 12 June 2018.
Twenty-eight 5-year-old dressage horses competed in the L-level dressage horse class and there were two winners with an equal total score of 8.2. Tanja Fischer and the Hanoverian stallion Dominique MJ (by Damon Hill x Gribaldi) got 8.5 for walk, 8 for trot, canter and submission and 8.5 for general impression. Norwegian Isabel Freese and Paul Schockemohle's Feinrich, an Oldenburg stallion (by Fürst Heinrich x Donnerhall I) got 7 for walk, 9 for trot, 8.4 for canter, 8 for submission and 8.5 for general impression.
Third place was also split between two horses on an 8.1 total score: the Oldenburg mare Fürstin Gesine PS (by Fürst Heinrich x Sir Donnerhall I) under Hof Kasselmann rider Frederic Wandres as well as with High Heels (by Damon Hill x Roadster) ridden by Patricia von Merveldt. Fürstin Gesine PS for 8.5 for walk and canter, 8 for trot, 7 for submission and 8.5 for general impression. High Heels earned 7.5 for walk, and 8.5 for trot, canter, submission and general impression.
Four riders succeeded in tying for fifth place: Hof Kasselmann rider Lars Ligus and Bocca di Bacco (by Bordeaux x Sandro Hit), David Taylor with Heideblüte Z (by De Niro x Sir Donnerhall I), Hof Kasselmann rider Zina Facklam with Zar Peter (by Zonik x Rubinstein I) and Lars Schulze Sutthoff with Rock Revolution (by Rock Forever I x Davignon I).
