The 5-year old Faysha and the 6-year old Löwenherz became the winners of the two Bundeschampionate qualification classes held at the Baden Wurttemberger Regional Championship in Tübingen, Germany, on Sunday 1 July 2018.
Nicola Haug and Regine Meder's Wurttemberger bred mare Faysha (by Lord Leopold x Don Romantic) impressed the judges the most in the 5-year old division and scored a winning 8.1. The bay mare earned 7.5 for walk, 8.5 for trot, 8 for canter, 8.5 for submission and 8 for general impression. Australian Hayley Beresford continued her success tour on the Wurttemberger mare Diva Georgina (by Don Juan de Hus x Don Crusador) which she co-owns with an Australian sponsor. The pair finished second with 8.0 and tied with Nicola Haug on the Oldenburg stallion Agassi (by Ampare x Quaterback). Diva Georgina got 8 for walk, 8.5 for trot and canter, 7 for submission and 8 for general impression, while Agassi received 7 for walk, 8.5 for trot, 8 for canter, 8.5 for submission and 8 for general impression.
In the 6-year old division Nicole Casper steered the Wurttemberger bred gelding Löwenherz (by Lingh x Wolkentanz I) to victory with 8.0 The chestnut got 8.5 for walk, 8 for trot, 7.5 for canter and 8 for submission and general impression. Katrin Burger and Diana de Meo's Westfalian gelding Vernissage (by Vitalis x Hochadel) were the runners-up with 7.7. The gelding got 8 for walk, trot and canter, 7 for submission and 7.5 for general impression.
