Marieke van Nespen became the winner of the 2018 Belgian Pony Championships at Stable Gravenhof in Sint-Truiden, Belgium, on 27 - 29 July 2018.

The Belgian Pony Championships were held separately from the Belgian Nationals at the Flanders Dressage Event as the dates clash with the European Pony Championships.  Thirteen combinations competed at FEI Pony level this year and the Championship was held over the three traditional rounds.

Marieke van Nespen and the 13-year old Dutch New Forest Pony Orchid's Borneo II (by Justice HR x Brummerhoeve's Boss) collected the gold medal and national title. They won the team test with 72,143%, finished third in the individual with 67.216% and won the Kur with 75.025% to total 214.384 points.  Orchid's Borneo II has been competing at international FEI pony level since 2012; first for The Netherlands under Paulette Kral and as of 2017 for Belgium under Laura Poppe. Van Nespen took over in 2018 and is coached by Carmen De Bondt.

The silver medal was won by Zoe Niessen aboard the 14-year old Rhinelander mare Minerva Bijou (by Boomer x Derbino). This duo was second in the team test with 71.857%, won the individual test with 69.432%, but dropped to fourth place in the Kur with 71.520%. They totaled 212.809 points which ranked them second overall.

Clara Mourlon Beernaert and the 11-year old German Riding Pony gelding Don't Dream (by FS Don't Worry x Dressman) finished with bronze. Trained by Belgian Grand Prix rider Françoise Hologne-Joux, the pair scored 71.029% in the team test, 67.189% in the individual and 72.825% in the Kur to finish on a third placing total of 211.043 points.
