The die has been cast. Tinne Vilhelmson-Silfven will be taking Don Auriello to the 2018 World Equestrian Games in Tryon as part of the Swedish team.
The 15-year old Hanoverian bred Don Auriello (by Don Davidoff x White Star) only recently returned to the show ring after a 1.5 year break to recover from injury.
The tall bay gelding has been shown at just two shows before WEG: he made his come back at the CDIO Rotterdam in June and he was shown at the CDI Cappeln two weeks ago.
For the past year and a half, the 15-year old Swedish warmblood gelding Paridon Magi (by Don Primero x Napoleon) has been Vilhelmson's leading Grand Prix horse. Unfortunately this 2018 show season the horse tied up right before the 2018 World Cup Finals and he was also withdrawn from the 2018 CDI Cappeln at the beginning of August for health reasons.
"I'm so happy that Anton (Don Auriello) feels good. He has always been my first choice and now it's getting closer so it's time to decide," said Vilhelmson. "It will be great fun."
Tinne joins Swedish WEG team members Patrik Kittel (Well Done de la Roche or Deja), Therese Nilshagen (Dante Weltino), and Juliette Ramel (Buriel KH). Rose Mathisen is first reserve, Antonia Ramel second reserve.
