Lovsta Stuteri's foundation stallion Weltman has passed away at age 23. The black stallion was instrumental in bringing Swedish dressage sponsor Antonia Ax:son Johnson and Olympian Tinne Vilhelmson together.

The 1995 born Hanoverian stallion Weltman was bred by Horst Seide and was by Weltruhm out of Edda (by Ecuador xx x Archimedes).

He was a premium stallion and sold to Antonia Ax:son Johnson as a young horse. While searching for a rider for this beautiful black stallion, she met Tinne Vilhelmson-Silfven in January 2000 and it was the beginning of a long-standing partnership that led to the creation of Lovsta Stuteri.

Vilhelmson and Weltman competed up to Grand Prix level. The stallion has only bred sparingly with close to 200 offspring on the ground. From his crop came Grand Prix horses Wellington (Jeanna Hogberg) and Welton Five (Clara Espinosa, Lo Dahlquist Mörkenstam).

"Weltman has always been present at Lovsta Stuteri," said Vilhelmson. "In recent years he has enjoyed his retirement at Stjärnborg. Now he is forever in our hearts. Of course, it's sad, but Weltman is forever present because I met Antonia and we are where we are today thanks to him."
