Sir Hubert became the top selling horse at the 2018 Westfalian Autumn Elite auction in Munster-Handorf, Germany, on Sunday 7 October 2018.
A rather small collection of 29 young sport horses and 10 foals was on offer.
The 5-year old chestnut gelding Sir Hubert (by Sir Heinrich x Florestan) was the most expensive horse in the collection, selling for 100,000 euro to a client in Hessia. Sir Hubert is bred by Hubert Brinkmann.
The second most expensive horse was the 3-year old Barolo II (by Bordeaux x Munchhausen), bred by Rainer Heidenreich. He switched owners for 46,000 euro and moves to Rhineland.
The 3-year old mare Shiva (by Sir Heinrich x Furst Grandios) found a new owner in Lower Saxony for 44,000 euro. The 4-year old dark bay gelding Van Holli (by Van Vivaldi x Show Star) sold for 36,000 euro to Rhineland.
The best selling foal in the lot was the chestnut colt Secret Fun (by Secret x Florestan), bred by ZG von Ameln. He sold for 20,000 euro.
Zoominator (by Zoom x Sir Heinrich) sold for 9,500 euro, while Feiner Tänzer (by Finest x Dancier) fetched 9,000 euro. Both foals sold abroad.
The average price for a sport horse at this auction was 24,966 euro. One third of the collection sold abroad. The average price for a foal was 7,640 euro.
