Mark Bellissimo, show director and owner of the Global Dressage Festival and Winter Equestrian Festival in Wellington, issued a press releases following rumours about a potential sale of the show circuit in Florida.

The rumours were apparently launched by a online vlogger, but considered serious enough for Bellissimo to publicly address and refute the "unsubstantiated and false accusations surrounding the sale of Palm Beach International Equestrian Center, Global Dressage Festival and International Polo Club Palm Beach in Wellington, Florida."

Through the equestrian magazine Chronicle of the Horse, which Bellissimo also owns, he stated the following:

“There is absolutely no truth to the rumor that the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center and affiliated show entities including the Winter Equestrian Festival, Adequan Global Dressage Festival and International Polo Club Palm Beach are for sale, have been offered for sale, or have been sold."

“The venues saw record participation at competitions during the 2018 winter circuit, and our partnership group remains deeply motivated by the continued growth these facilities have experienced in Wellington. We are committed to expanding equestrian sport well into the future at our Wellington venues, as well as the other venues that I am a partner of including Tryon International Equestrian Center and the Colorado Horse Park. We are looking forward to an incredible 2019 circuit.”
