German Olympian and dressage team rider Dorothee Schneider celebrated her 50th birthday with a double victory in the national big tour at the 2019 CDI-W Neumunster on 15 - 17 February 2019.
The Framersheim based Schneider turned 50 on 17 February 2019 and her friends and husband joined her in the celebration in Neumunster.
Aboard Sissy Max-Theurer's Pathetique (by Quaterback), Schneider won the national Grand Prix with 75.00% and topped it off on her birthday with a Grand Prix Special victory on a score of 73.471%.
"I really became teary eyed," said Schneider. "For my 50th birthday not only my friends traveled to Neumunster today to wish me luck and root for me, but my husband Jobst Krumhoff also had a special suprise for me. During the trophy ceremony for the Special, he gave me a heart of roses with a 50 in it. I'm so happy."
