The 5-year old Meridian and the 6-year olds De Sandro and Soirée dans le Carree became the winners of the Bundeschampionate qualification classes held at the regional show in Wolfskehlen on 1 June 2019.
Ten combinations contested the L-level dressage horse test for 5-year olds and Kevin Thomas moved into the winner's circle aboard Gestut Staffelde's German Sport Horse bred stallion Meridian (by Millennoim x De Chirico) with 8.2. The black stallion got 7.5 for walk, 9 for trot, 8.5 for canter, 7.5 for submission and 8.5 for general impression. Julia Kïhn and Irmgard Berendsen's German Sport Horse bred gelding Fürstano B (by Furstenball x Rubinstern Noir) were the runners-up with 8.1. The black gelding got 8 for walk, trot, canter and submission and 8.5 for general impression.
Eight pairs competed in the 6-year old division and two combinations tied in first place with 8.0. Caroline Brandt's and Schleier's German Sport Horse bred stallion De Sandro (by Decurio x Samba Hit I) scored straight 8s for walk, trot, canter, submission and general impression, while Hungarian Mate Garai and the Oldenburg bred Soirée dans le Carree (by Sandro Hit x Royal Diamond) got 7.5 for walk, 8 for trot and canter, 8.5 for submission and 8 for general impression.
