Canadian born American Grand Prix rider Ashley Holzer has new bliss in her barn: the 7-year old Oldenburg mare Bliss.
Bliss is bred by Maria Kasselmann-de Kuyper and her husband Hubert and is by Bordeaux x Likoto xx x Rinaldo.
Holzer's sponsor Diane Fellows acquired the bay mare at Hof Kasselmann as her future ride, but Ashley will fine tune the buttons.
Ashley first saw Bliss while she was staying at Hof Kasselmann on her European competition tour with Fellows' Grand Prix mare Havanna last June.
"She was able to see Bliss in training every day and saw her qualities, how she behaves and what the mare has to offer," François Kasselmann told Eurodressage. "She was bred here, reared at Gestut Osthoff and given plenty of time. She had an easy life as she was returned to the field as a 4-year old to mature more."
Bliss is a full sister to the highly successful 8-year old Oldenburg stallion Budhi, who sold at the 2015 PSI auction to Russian investor Elena Knyaginicheva. The stallion is now highly successful under Nicole Wego with several S-level victories and participations in the Nurnberger Burgpokal qualifiers.
Holzer's Bliss has now arrived in Wellington, Florida.
