Swedish Grand Prix team rider Therese Nilshagen has taken over the ride on the Oldenburg stallion For Final from Stella Charlott Roth.

Nilshagen is the head rider at the Dressage Performance Centre Lodbergen, owned by the Swiss Wespe family and based in Lodbergen, Germany.

For Final is a 6-year old Oldenburg licensed stallion (by For Romance x Dimaggio x Lancier). He is bred by Sarah Kohl.

He was first competed as a 3-year old by Kira Wegmann in 2016. The next year Stefanie Ahlert rode him and got bronze at the 2017 Oldenburg Young Horse Championships in Rastede and silver at the 2017 Bundeschampionate in Warendorf.

In the autumn of 2017 Stella Charlott Roth was allocated the ride on For Final. She steered him to silver at the 2018 Oldenburg YH Championships and Bundeschampionate. In 2019 she rode him at M-level and finished 10th at the Bundeschampionate.

In October Therese Nilshagen took over the ride on the black stallion.

"Stella and For Final did well, but in general our owner (the Wespe family) wants us to ride our horses ourselves, so she made the decision to switch For Final to me," Therese explained to Eurodressage. "Now we are working on building a good partnership and I hope and think it will be all fine."

Therese has no immediatete show plans and wants to focus first on becoming a combination.

"I will let it take the time it needs," she said. "I think he is a very talented horse and I look forward to the future with excitement."
