Swiss dressage rider Susanne Durrer has acquired the Westfalian licensed breeding stallion Rock Forever II. She also purchased the Oldenburg small tour horse Silver Black recently, but the horse passed away two weeks after the sale.

Since August 2018 Susanne Durrer is based at her own Dressage Centre Grabs in Liechtenstein on the Swiss border, which she bought from Olympian Otto Hofer. In 2019 she competed Samba de Janeiro at M-level

Durrer purchased the 10-year old Westfalian licensed stallion Rock Forever II from owner Heinz Könemann at German based Swiss horse dealer Daniel Ramseier.

Rock Forever II (by Rockwell x Landstreicher x Damokles) was licensed at 2012 Westfalian Stallion Licensing. He is the full brother to Rock Forever I and Revolverheld.

He was first competed in 2013 by Annette Bossmann and Tanja Krampe and scored bronze at the Westfalian young horse championships. In 2014 he did no shows and in 2015 he returned to the ring under Ann-Kathrin Wilting. He represented Germany at the 2015 World Young Horse Championships in Verden and placed 8th in the 5-year old consolation finals. A month later Jessica Lynn Andersson rode him at the Bundeschampionae.

Wiltin was back in the saddle in 2016 and took him to the 2016 World Young Horse Championships in Ermelo, where they were 13th in the finals after placing second in the consolation finals. At the 2016 Bundeschampionate they placed 8th in the Finals.

In 2017 Nicola Könemann began showing the stallion at M and S-level at regional events in their area. Their last show was in July 2019 at Barlo-Bocholt. The stallion was for sale at Daniel Ramseier's yard in Ibbenburen, Germany.

Durrer will not be standing Rock Forever II at stud, but will use him as a sport horse.

Silver Black Passed Away

Before purchasing Rock Forever II, Durrer had acquired the 13-year old Oldenburg gelding Silver Black OLD (by Sandro Hit x Donnerhall) at Ramseier's, but the stallion passed away in his box at the beginning of January, just two weeks after the sale came through and before picking him to move to Switzerland.

Durrer declined to comment on the horse's passing, but her spokesperson believes the horse passed from a colic attack.

Silver Black OLD was bred by Georg Sieverding and was by Sandro Hit out of Maradita (by Donnerhall). He was a full brother to the Oldenburg licensing champion Sieger Hit.

He was licensed at the 2009 Oldenburg Stallion Licensing and first competed by Sandra Suther and Heiko Klausing. He sold as 4-year old to Gregorio Pena Varona in Spain and was trained by Spanish Enrique Brewah Granados. In 2012 they showed at the Bundeschampionate in Warendorf, where they were 21st in the preliminary round. In 2013 Kira Wulferding rode him in Germany and finished fourth at the Bundeschampionate in Warendorf. She took the horse up to small tour level in 2014 and rode him at that level through 2015. At the 2015 Nurnberger Burgpokal Finals in Frankfurt, they finished 12th in the warm up round but withdrew from the finals.

In 2016 and 2017 Silver Black was shown by Spanish Marta Pena Montaner. Silver Black was put up for sale in the 2018 Oldenburg Autumn Elite Auction in Vechta. He was then listed as sold to the U.S.A. for 150,000 euro, but in 2019 ended up being owned by the Swiss Grunder family as a young rider's horse for daughter Laura Maria Grunder.

Laura and Silver Black made their debut in Berne in March 2019 and competed at the CDI's in Saumur and Compiegne. In the summer of 2019 Grunder's head rider Elena Fernandez took over the horse for a brief moment, until she left the Grunder stable. Silver Black was sent to Germany to be sold.
