The Dutch Equestrian Federation and team trainers Monique Peutz and Alex van Silfhout have announced the teams that will represent The Netherlands at the 2017 European Championships for Children, Junior and Young Riders in Roosendaal, The Netherlands, on 9 - 13 August 2017.

What's Happening in the Dressage World?

Young professional dressage duo Brecht d'Hoore and Dominique van der Horst got married in Hoogerheide, The Netherlands, on 7 July 2017. The Belgian D'Hoore, who was a former young rider team member, and Dutch Van der Horst run their own sales and training facility in The Netherlands. The wedding ceremony took place in the local church, while the evening dinner and dance party was in their dressed up indoor school.


Eurodressage F.O.C.U.S.

Grand Prix rider Hedda Droege is one of Germany's young dressage professionals who manages her own breeding and training facility at Gut Dalmer estate for the past five years. The 30-year old business economist has taken over the management of Gut Dalmer from her father Walter and is running the Lippetal based yard with great passion. Droege focuses on breeding and training of young dressage horses for the high performance level.


Hanoverian Breeding News

The evaluation of the exterior of horses has always played a significant role in the breeding. It presents valuable conclusions about the quality and the use already in young horses and thus gives an indication on the value of the horse (and its offspring) as a riding horse in the respective disciplines.


Veterinary News

The USEF Board of Directors has approved the recommendations of the USEF MPA Panel for further investigation of Medroxyprogesterone Acetate (Depo-Provera®). They also propose a ban of injectable magnesium sulfate and the use of pergolide mesylate under controlled guidelines.
