In Frankfurt next to the FEI World Cup™ Dressage Qualifier also took place the second Final of the FEI World Cup™ Dressage for Young Riders. Thanks to sponsor Schenker real international competition could be witnessed with participants from overseas.

“This Young Riders FEI World Cup™ has been of a high standard”, Mariette Withages commented. I am sure riding in this atmosphere with those crowds will really help to develop our Young Riders for their next challenge, growing to Grand Prix.”

There was no doubt about the winner in Frankfurt: Swiss Silvia Ikle! The 57 year old experienced rider was over the moon by her undoubted wins. “I am more than happy!”, Silvia Ikle expressed. “This was my very first appearance with my brand new Freestyle especially composed by famous Swiss composer Bauer from Bern, with especially played bandoneon music by Zisman. I was too happy with it already, but now I am even more happy that Salieri did so well and grateful for the appreciation of the judges and the audience here in Frankfurt.”

Whoever says that dressage is a boring sport can not have been in Frankfurt this year. The beautifully decorated Festhalle didn't only attract very gratifying crowds, it also saw everything from tears and laughter to outright riot. What a rollercoaster ride!

Looking at result lists on the internet, you won't even get half the stories -- just numbers that in some cases are more than misleading. Isabell Werth's for instance.
