No other horse distinguished himself in a more prominent way than Sandro Hit. Undisputed best equine of the whole 1999 World Championships for Young Dressage Horses was Sandro Hit.
"He's definitely is an exceptional horse and I feel honored to have the opportunity to ride him," rider Dr. Ulf Möller stated. Sandro Hit is a stallion where talking about wouldn't come to an end. Either if one discusses his perfect conformation or his three powerful, elastic, balanced basic gaits or even his superb potential to become an international star; Sandro Hit is just an example of the perfect dressage horse.
The black Oldenburger stallion by Sandro Song x Ramino became the favorite of the audience and while entering and leaving the arena the combination received an enormous amount of clapping and cheering. Sometimes even tears appeared in some people's eyes when seeing Sandro Hit parade around the ring. Winning every class with the sky high notes of 9.3, 9.7 and 85.94 in the six year old division Sandro Hit created a striking distance with number two Del Piero. Rider Dr. Ulf Möller, originally a veterinarian, has only been riding the licensed black stallion for half a year.
Möller works for Ullrich Kasselmann and Sandro Hit's owner Paul Schockemöle, who organizes the prestigous PSI-auctions in Ankum, Germany. Negiotations about the sale of Sandro Hit to the United States were already started before the Championships even began. Möller will be riding Sandro Hit until after the Bundeschampionate and then Europe is probably destined to see the best young dressage horse leave the continent to start a new career in the US.
