Denino, Price Highlight of the 2011 Klosterhof Medingen Auction

2011 Klosterhof Medingen Auction

Denino became the price highlight of the 2011 Klosterhof Medingen auction on Saturday 24 September 2011. The rising 5-year old Hanoverian Danone x Konsequent x Caprimond offspring sold for 120,000 to a Baden-Wurttemberg dressage stable.

Denino is the full brother to Denina, which was the price highlight of the 2010 Klosterhof Medingen auction last year, selling for 270,000 euro to the Kampmann family.

The second best selling horse was the 4-year old chestnut mare Fleur de Lis B which sold for 112,000 euro to a dressage stable in Berlin, Germany. Fleur de Lis B is a powerful moving Hanoverian by Fidertanz out of SPS Wenetzia (by Wolkentanz I x Absinth).

The third most expensive horse was First Class, a 5-year old Oldenburg gelding by Fidertanz x Rouletto x Welt As, presented at auction by Brazilian Dr. Jorge de la Rocha. This horse sold for 98,000 euro to a Westfalian based dressage stable.

German Olympian Martin Schaudt acquired the 4-year old Hanoverian Diabelli (by De Niro x Walt Disney) for 28,000 euro.

The top selling foal was Diamond Dancer, a smashing chestnut colt by De Niro out of an Andiamo dam. Spanish team rider Beatriz Ferrer-Salat acquired this top dressage colt for 62,000 euro.  The filly Die Reine Freude sold for 40,000 euro to a Hamburg dressage stable.

The total turnover at the 2011 edition of this auction was almost 1.3 million euro. Twenty riding horses sold for 984.000 euro with an average price of 49,200 euro. Twenty-five foals sold for an average price of 13,800 euro.
