What's Happening in the Dressage World?

Riding Against Hunger, a charity founded and supported by Ullrich Kasselmann, has raised 20,000 euro during the 2017 CDI Hagen. One fan paid 5,000 euro for a riding lesson with Isabell Werth.

Dressage riders at Horses & Dreams meets Austria were not only challenged in the Almased Dressage Stadium. The German A and B dressage team riders attended many actions hosted by the charity "Riding Agaist Hunger" throughout the weekend. Riders such as Isabell Werth, Sönke Rothenberger, Kristina Bröring-Sprehe, Fabienne Lütkemeier, Anabel Balkenhol and Charlott-Maria Schürmann collected funds to benefit "World Hunger Aid", with which they finance projects in the poorest countries in the world.

A total of 20,000 Euro was raised over the course of the week – a single riding lesson with the current highest ranking dressage rider in the world, Isabell Werth, brought 5.000 euro on its own.

Horses & Dreams meets Austria saw around 68,000 visitors over five competition days. On Friday night the guest performance from Andreas Gabalier drew 4,000 fans.

The guest country for 2018 has been announced: the United Arab Emirates. The 2018 Horses & Dreams Meets UAE  will probably take place on 25 - 29 April 2018, and the event will thrill its visitors with the world of 1001 Arabian Nights by bringing a Middle Eastern flair to the Borgberg.
