The KWPN society has decided to test all actively breeding KWPN licensed stallions for Warmblood Fragile Foal Syndrome (WFFS).

The breeding season is in full swing and breeders are now selecting the stallions for their mares. "By publishing the WFFS-status of the KWPN approved stallions, we want to inform the breeders in an optimal way," said KWPN in their press release about the decision to test all stallions.

"Since recently it is known that three KWPN licensed stallions are carriers of the WFFS-gene. At the moment it is not transparent which other licensed stallions are possibly a carrier of the WFFS-gene, as they have not been tested," KWPN continued.

All KWPN licensed stallions will now get tested and the results are expected in two to three weeks.
