Summersby II Wins Young Horse Championship at 2018 Devon Breed Show

The Oldenburg mare Summersby II was named the winner of the Young Horse Championships at the 2018 Devon Breed Show on Wednesday 26 September 2018. 

Alongside a Foal Championship, the Devon Breed Show also hosted a Colt and Filly Championships for 1, 2 and 3-year olds. The champion and reserve champion of the Colt and Filly category battled it out for the title in the Young Horse Championship at the end of the day. 

Alice Tarjan's 3-year old Oldenburg mare Summersby II (by Sezuan x Sandro Hit) claimed highest honour in the Young Horse Championship. The mare is bred in Germany by Nicole Wanning. 

Jen Vanover's 2-year old Oldenburg colt MW Bodacious (by Borsalino x Rohdiamant) became the runner-up. He was presented in Devon by Bruce Griffin. 

The other two non-placed horses were Angela Mirarchi's 2-year old Hanoverian mare Rockelle (by Rotspon x Wolkentanz I) and Christopher Preston's 3-year old KWPN gelding Kyro (by Glamourdale x Jazz), bred by J. Hermanussen in The Netherlands.
