The 12-year old Spanish owned Oldenburg gelding Silver Black OLD (by Sandro Hit x Donnerhall) has been sold to Hans and Sandra Grunder as a future ride for Laura Maria Grunder.

Silver Black OLD is bred by Georg Sieverding and is by Sandro Hit out of Maradita (by Donnerhall). He is a full brother to the Oldenburg licensing champion Sieger Hit.

He was licensed at the 2009 Oldenburg Stallion Licensing and did his 70-day performance test in Schlieckay in November 2011. He scored 8.23 in dressage and 6.56 in show jumping with a total of 7.36 points. He has been gelded to be focused on sport.

In the spring of 2011 he competed in some national riding horse tests in Germany under Sandra Suther and Heiko Klausing but in the autumn of 2011 he sold as a 4-year old to Gregorio Pena Varona in Spain.

There he was initially trained and competed by Spanish Enrique Brewah Granados. In 2012 the pair won the young horse classes at the CDI Toledo, but they also rode at the 2012 Westfalian Young Horse Championships and the Bundeschampionate in Warendorf, where they were 21st in the preliminary round. In 2013 Kira Wulferding rode him in Germany and finished fourth at the Bundeschampionate in Warendorf. She took the horse up to small tour level in 2014 and rode him at that level through 2015.

Silver Black returned on international scene under Marta Pena Montaner in May 2016 at small tour level. They did one CDI that year in Segovia. In 2017 they were more active with CDI starts in Valencia, Medina Sidonia and Segovia. Their last international was in May 2017.

Silver Black was sent back to Germany and came in training with Kira Wulderding, who qualified him for the 2015 Nurnberger Burgpokal Finals in Frankfurt, where they finished 12th in the warm up round but withdrew from the finals.

Silver Black was put up for sale in the 2018 Oldenburg Autumn Elite Auction in Vechta. He was then listed as sold to the U.S.A. for 150,000 euro.

However, the stallion is now listed as owned by the Grunder family. The 19-year old Laura Maria Grunder made her international debut as a junior rider last year at her first and only international so far, the CDI Nice, aboard the 11-year old Brandenburger bred GB Qookai (by Quaterback). She is trained by Elena Fernandez.
