Germans Jessica von Bredow-Werndl and Dorothee Schneider won the big tour classes at the 2019 CDI Ebreichsdorf in Austria on 12 - 14 April 2019.

Organized by Sissy Max-Theurer at equestrian centre Magna Racino, the CDI Ebreichsdorf has taken over the dates from Stadl Paura which used to be the big dressage international in Austria in April for many years in a row. This is the second edition of the "Racino Dressage Classic" in Ebreichsdorf.

Ebreichsdorf was able to bring out a compact but high class field of competitors with Bavarian based Jessica von Bredow-Werndl, as well as German Olympian Dorothee Schneider, who rides Max-Theurer's young horses. Isabell Werth was also there not as a rider but as a coach for Bavarian based Lisa Müler as well as student Victoria Max-Theurer.

Eighteen riders contested the Special tour which served as come back show for Dorothee Schneider's 2016 Rio Olympic horse Showtime (by Sandro Hit x Rotspon). Since Rio the elegant gelding has been on and off struggling with injury. Gabriele Kippert's 13-year old Hanoverian did only one CDI in 2017 and just one in 2018. In Ebreichsdorf Showtime was back and on full form winning the Grand Prix with 76.870% and the Special with 81.021%.

"I'm super happy with this come back," said Schneider. "You could see that Showtime was in the mood, he was even a bit over-motivated in canter. Overall I'm very happy that it all worked so well. The conditions at Racino are top. We were able to focus on the task at hand and I'm looking forward to the next tests."

Jessica von Bredow-Werndl and the 15-year old KWPN mare Zaire E (by Son de Niro x Jazz) swept the Kur tour with 75.826% in the Grand Prix and 82.250% in the Special. Eleven riders contested the Kur tour.

At small tour level six combinations were at the starting line. Victoria Max-Theurer made her CDI debut on the 8-year old Westfalian bred Valparaiso (by Vitalis x Furst Piccolo) and won the Prix St Georges with 74.647% and the Intermediaire I with 74.029%. The chestnut was previously competed as a youngster by Max-Theurer's assistant riders Wibke Bruns and Wolfgang Himsl.

In the medium tour Austrian Stephanie Dearing steered her 2014 World Young Horse Championship silver medal winner Del Magico (by Dimaggio x Feinbrand) to a double win. In a field of just 2 riders, the 11-year old Hanoverian scored a winning 69.882% in the Intermediaire A and 72.382% in the Intermediaire B.
