Rozzie Ryan is continuing her string of success with a fifth victory out of seven CDI starts in 2019 so far. Riding Jarrah R she now took out the Grand Prix at the 2019 CDI Sydney on day two of Australia's biggest international dressage event.

Hosted at Sydney International Equestrian Centre (SIEC), the CDI Sydney proudly featured the biggest Grand Prix class of all CDI's organized on the continent the past twelve months. No less than 21 Grand Prix riders from Australia and New Zealand competed in the class, even though not a single pair was able to come close to the 70% magical barrier.

Ryan and the home bred Jarrah R (by Jive Magic), owned by Jonah and Edna Bevan,  scored 67.522% to claim victory by just 0.348 percentage points ahead of New Zealand's Wendi Williamson on Don Amour MH in second place and Fiona Selby on Tacita in third, both of whom scored 67.174%.

Victorian rider Lindsay Ware took out the Young Rider Team test (CDI-Y) on board Grand Prix schoolmaster Aristede with 70.147%, the only rider in the class to score in excess of 70.

Ware said she had been pleased with their performance in what was her first visit to SIEC's indoor arena. “I was so happy with all of our canter work,” she said. “Our pirouettes just keep getting better and better," Lindsay stated. She looks forward to the rest of the competition including riding her Kur.  “That should be a lot of fun. It's our fourth time riding this freestyle and we love it every single time."

Six combinations competed in the FEI Pony dressage team test and Bella Plumridge on the 14-year old Arabian riding pony Illawong Harvest Moon (by Warlords Helter Skelter x Willowcroft Wizard) scored a winning 67.43%  In the junior division Hunter Taylor topped the board on the very green 6-year old Australian warmblood Maybelle Matilda (by Jive Magic) with 67.980%.
