Irish Junior Riders Horse Ivan Carlos Sold to Australia

Irish young professional Martha Jobling-Purser has sold her international junior riders horse Ivan Carlos to Australia. The KWPN stallion will continue his sport career under para dressage rider Kylie Christian.

Ivan Carlos is a 2013 born Dutch warmblood by Ampere out of Wiecarla (by Jazz x Iroko). He is bred by D. Schurink. 

Great Britain

Initially owned by British based Danish Anne Seiferi-Chon, Ivan Carlos show career began in the U.K. in 2018 when he was 5 years old.

He was licensed as a breeding stallion for the AES studbook

He was first shown by Laura Frost in the spring of 2018, who took him from novice to medium level by 2019. In 2020 Amy Woodhead began competing him through 2021 at Advanced Medium level.

Ireland

He sold to the British based Irish dressage family Jobling-Purser for daughter Martha to ride in 2021. 

Martha premiered Ivan Carlos at the national show at Manor Grange Stud in August 2021 and rode him at international junior level in 2022. The pair competed at CDI's in Keysoe, Le Mans, and Wellington Heckfield.  Martha and Ivan Carlos were selected to represent Ireland at the 2022 European Junior Riders Championships but ended up not going

Their last CDI start was at Keysoe in October 2022, where they won the team and individual test. They competed nationally through December 2022.

Martha Jobling-Purser moved to The Netherlands in 2023 to begin riding as an assistant for Dutch Grand Prix rider and horse dealer Kirsten Brouwer. Ivan Carlos joined her and was put in the sales portfolio. The pair showed at national level in The Netherlands in 2023.

Australia

The Dutch warmblood has now been sold to Australian para dressage rider Kylie Christian. 

She premiered internationally in 2022 at the CPEDI Boneo aboard the now 20-year old (former licensed Hanoverian stallion) Bellaire Cannavaro (by Contendro x Freiherr) at Grade IV level. The pair showed internationally through April 2023 

"Ivan is big, black and beautiful and ready to go smash some goals," Kylie posted.

Martha continues to train with Brouwer on her two 3-year old young horses by For Romance and Valverde. She's also riding Fabrizio Sigismondi's small tour horse Elegant (by Oscar x Ferro) as a potential young riders' horse.
