Inspekteur is a Dutch warmblood stallion with a winner's
pedigree. His sire line Darwin / Roemer has produced
extraordinary dressage horses of which Inspekteur is
one. His dam line is continually producing high performance
dressage horses.
Inspekteur himself produces horses beautiful in type,
of a good size and with outstanding movements with
a strong
hind leg. He always breeds horses of bay and black
colour (no chestnuts). Inspekteur is the sire you want
if you are looking for power and front. Inspekteur's
oldest offspring is currently competing at small tour
level. He has a high sport index of 156 points.
At his stallion performance test in 1993, Inspekteur
scored high notes for his gaits and rideability and
he has
an outstanding, easy going character. The stallion
committee reported that "Inspekteur is an honest, reliable
and happy stallion. He has much willingness to work
and is easy to ride. His walk is active but a bit straight
in his front leg. In trot the stallion shows good hind
leg usage and much cadence. His canter is powerful
and well carried but could be more ground covering.
In dressage the stallion shows much potential to collect
while maintaining a good rhythm and balance. He has
much potential as a dressage horse and gives the rider
a good feeling."
 Under
Dutch Olympic rider Marlies van Baalen, Inspekteur
won the 1998 Dutch Junior Riders Championships and
1999 Dutch Young Rider Championships, two European
team gold and
individual bronze medal at the 2000 and 2001 European
Junior Riders Championships. Under
Danielle van Aalderen he was the 2002 Dutch Junior
Riders reserve champion. In 2003, he put Vincent van
Gasselt into the Dutch Young Riders' A-team member
and in 2004 and 2005, owner Wendy van der Helm was
in the A-team with him. Under Marrigje van Baalen he
won double team gold at
the 2006
and 2007 European Junior and Young Riders Championships.
Inspekteur was one of Holland's most successful young
riders horses
ever.
