First Dance was the hit of the Hanoverian stallion licensing 2006 with his remarkable movement and dressage potential. Currently under saddle with Inga Von Helldorff he is surpassing our expectations as to his quality and performance. His exciting bloodlines should be of great interest to Hanoverian breeders everywhere.

First Dance was bought at the stallion licensing in Verden Germany by Leatherdale Farms. He will stay at Hengststation Jens Meyer in Dorum Germany and will join our other stallions His Highness, Damsey, Herzensdieb and Rob Roy. He and Rob Roy will be offered with frozen semen in the US and Canada in 2008 after completing their testing or qualification process.

First Dance was enthusiastically received at the 2006 Hanoverian licensing because of his perfectly cadenced rhythm and hindquarter powered movements that flow through his whole body, characteristics that made him one of the hottest offers at the following stallion market.

His sire, Florestan I, has long since earned the reputation of a trademark stallion with his more than 70 licensed sons, including the dressage horse World Champions, Florencio I and French Kiss, more than 170 State Premium mares and countless sport horses such as Floriano/Stefan Peters/USA, the dressage team bronze metal winner at the WEG 2006 in Aachen.

First Dance is the first foal out of SPS Dorina, a mare who took the 1A prize each year from 2003 to 2006 at the show in Aurich-Tannenhausen. The dam's sire, Donnerhall, stands for the successful symbol of breeding and sport. A double World Champion in dressage twice under Kain Rehbein, he left more than 100 licensed sons behind. By the end of 2006, his offspring in sport had won more than 1.5 million euro.

The granddam SPS Andi, produced the auction horses Wonderfull (by Wanderbursch II), a State Premium candidate, Wokentanzerin (by Wolkentanz) as well as her full sister, Wina, who was also a States Premium candidate, and SPS Rubina (bt Rubinstein). In the third generation you will find the valuable Thoroughbred stallion Aarking, a very sucessful race horse from the age of two to seven with a German form of 82.5 kilos. Four of his sons were licensed. The Aarking son arcatenango placed at the 1993 Bundeschampionat final in Manheim and was then sold for 90,000 € at the Hanoverian Elite Auction. Amonassro was sold in 1998 for 110,000 € at the PSI Auction. His son, Andretti H under Hubertus Schmidt as well as under Holga Finken, won Grand prix, including the Grande Prix of Bremen.
