Britain's number one Grand Prix rider Carl Hester made a smashing small tour debut on his new ride, Aram Gregory's Oldenburg bred Dances with Wolves, at the 2012 CDI Vidauban. During the second week of competition on 1 - 4 March 2012, Hester and the liver chestnut power house produced whopping marks in the Prix St Georges. Michael Eilberg and Woodlander Dornroschen won the Inter I and Kur.
A large contingent of British riders gathered for small tour action at Vidauban and they stamped the rankings with placings all over the board. While Hester and Dances with Wolves (by Dormello) dominated the PSG, Brit Michael Eilberg and Lynne Crowden's home bred mare Dornroschen (by Dimaggio) excelled in the two other small tour classes with 73.684% and 74.275%.
Belgian Philippe Jorissen and his Rhinelander mare Agneta (by Abanos) kept the pressure on Eilberg and Hester as he placed second three times. The long legged bay mare has proven to be a consistent top scorer in the small tour at shows all over Europe.
