The 7-year old KWPN licensed stallion Galaxie has been sold to the French stud farm Haras de Feuillard.

Initially a two-year lease was discussed, but Feuillard's Benoit Burban decided to purchase Galaxie straight away.

The black stallion by Jazz x Future x Ferro was not extremely popular with Dutch breeders with 152 offspring born in Holland so far. Stallion keeper Van Uytert has decided to lease the black to France with the possibility for a sale later on.

Renate van Vliet, head rider at Joop van Uytert's stallion station, discovered Galaxie as a 2.5 year old at the 2013 Equine Elite Auction. The stallion was then named Galaxie Terra and had been sold as a foal at the 2011 Borculo auction for 12,500 euro. Van Vliet met Van Uytert for the first time at this auction and the couple is now engaged. Van Uytert was previously married to Dutch Grand Prix rider Anne Franssen.

Galaxie was licensed in 2014 and scored 85 points in his stallion performance test. He did the KWPN Stallion Competition shows under Diederik van Silfhout.

Van Vliet began riding him herself only half a year ago as the stallion was too bold for her as a youngster.

Galaxie will continue his competition career under French junior rider Eugenie Burban, whose family also owns licensed stallions Antango and Sandreo.
