The 2018 CDI-W Zakrzow near Katowice in Poland attracted a big field of riders from all over Europe, competing at all levels from ponies to Grand Prix. German Frederic Wandres was the grand big tour winner of the World Cup qualifier, while Austrian Christian Schumach won two of three small tour classes.
For the pony level classes German Lucie-Anouk Baumgurtel did not bring her 2017 European Pony Champion Massimiliano, but her second pony, the 9-year old Coriander (by FS Chambertin x Donnertraum) to Poland and her decision paid off as she made it a triple winning the team and individual test as well as the Kur.
Swedish Ida Persson made her international junior riders' debut count as the 15-year old achieved a hattrick aboard the 18-year old Dutch warmblood Tago. At young riders' level it was a battle between the Polish with Michalina Terlecka winning the team test, and Malgorzata Kowalska acing the individual and kur.
