The French Stephanie Collier won the opening class, the Prix St Georges, at the international competition in Hansbeke, Belgium. Aboard the Hanoverian gelding Wisdom, Collier scored 68,421% and bested a field of 23 competitors. British Mary Sharman finished second with the Belgian bred Wohler vh Gerenshof.

Big successes for the Belgians at the CDI Hansbeke near Gent, Belgium. Former European Pony Champion Delphine Meiresonne is back in the big time with her own temperamental Belgian warmblood gelding Wipsy van het Heihof (by Flemmingh x Wendekreis). The pair won the Intermediaire I with 67.421. In the Grand Prix, new shooting stars Vicky Smits-Vanderhasselt and the Hanoverian bred mare Daianira van de Helle (by Dream of Glory x Ritual) finished in a fantastic fourth place with 69.02%

Anky van Grunsven made her come back with Painted Black, which got injured this spring. The pair won the Grand Prix with a personal record score of 76.34%. In the Grand Prix Special, all went well until the canter half passes. Painted Black knocked himself and felt weird. "I went into walk and for a moment I thought he was lame, but in walk he felt fine so I cantered again and finished the test," Van Grunsven explained. "I got very low marks for the half passess of course/ Painted went like he has always gone so we won the class."
