The Austrian equestrian federation and the Austrian warmblood society have held the first of two team selection trials for the 2023 World Championships for Young Dressage Horses in Ermelo, The Netherlands, on 3 - 6 August 2023.
The first selection trial was a training session at Heimo Kendlbacher's yard in Oisnitz, Austria, in which 12 combinations participated. Dr. Ulf Möller served as trainer and selector. The horses were trained indoors on 12 June and rode a test on 13 June after which a short list was drafted of these eligible to move to the second round.
Only Austrian warmbloods are eligible for team selection at these FEI World Breeding Championships for young dressage horses. The second trial will take place in Stadl Paura on 10 - 11 July 2023.
