The 5-year old bay Oldenburg gelding Spielbanker (by Spielberg x Eskardo) became the top selling horse of the 2014 Summer Mixed Sales of Oldenburg sport horses and foals in Vechta, Germany, on 31 May 2014. Spielbanker sold for 39,000 euro to Scottish clients.
The second most expensive horse at this auction was La Bonita, a 6-year old black mare by Licotus x Placido x Glorieux. The horse was bought by a German client fo 33,000 euro.
The 5-year old bay gelding Deutschmark (by Dimaggio x Diamond Hit x Sandro) moves to The Netherlands for 31,000 euro. American customers paid 25,000 euro for the bay gelding Born to Win (by Bordeaux x Sandro Hit x Landadel).
The price highlight of the 2014 Summer Mixed Sales was in fact a young colt from the foal collection. Selfie (by San Amour x De Niro x Akzent II) sold to local German customers for 40,000 euro.
Swedish buyers acquired six Oldenburg foals in total. Grandios (by Grey Flanell x Don Schufro x Akzent II) sold for 32,000 euro, the filly Meine Furstin (by Furstenball x Donnerschwee x Freedom) sold for 18,000 euro.
The average price for a sport horse at this auction was 15,900 euro, the average price for a foal 11,152 euro.
