Dutch Olympic team rider Marlies van Baalen has a new freestyle for her ride on Relevant. Slings Music Cast, the company behind the Dutch kur producer Cees Slings, has composed a kur based on popular tunes from Western movies and tv-shows.
The kur is called "The Wild, Wild West" and features sound tracks from High Chapperall, Rawhide, Riffleman, How The West was Won, Once Upon A Time and A Fistfull of Dollars.
Van Baalen and Gestut Vorwerk's Oldenburg stallion Relevant (by Rubinstein) will ride a show version "Marlies and the Magnificent Riders" of this new kur for the first time during the show evening at the CDI-W Amsterdam, January 23-25, 2007.
The show version of the kur was played by the Aachen Symphony Orchestra, which also did the music for the 2006 World Equestrian Games.
For her second Grand Prix ride, Kigali, Marlies rides to an improved version of her Sinatra kur.
