Following the major doping drama in Germany in the spring of 2009, the German Equestrian Federation and dressage selection committee had suspended all A and B-teams in September.
Yesterday, the FN released a letter in which the new teams were announced.
Remarkable absentees are Olympic individual medallists Isabell Werth and Heike Kemmer as well as former World Champion Nadine Capellmann. Due to a positive doping test Isabell Werth is suspended by the FEI till December 2009 and the German Equestrian Federation has banned her from the team until June 2010.
The riders received a letter from the FN in which their position on the 2010 German teams were listed. The new teams are remarkably smaller than before and the championship A-team only includes the members that competed at the 2009 European Dressage Championships in Windsor.
