Hiroyuki Kitahara won all three big tour classes at the CDI Gotemba in Japan. Aboard the 15-year old Hanoverian gelding Why Me (by Westerland out of SPS Anthea) he received a 64% from an O-judge in the Grand Prix and obtained his WEG qualification score to qualify as fourth Japanese rider for Kentucky. The other three qualified combinations are Mieko Yagi (Dow Jones), Yuko Kitai (Fairytale) and Hiroshi Hoketsu (Whisper)
