La Fitese was the top selling horse at the sixth Handorf Extra Summer auction of Westfalian sport horses in Münster-Handorf on 16 May 2010. The chestnut mare (by Lord Loxley x Lamoureux II, bred and presented by Heinz Westerhoff) sold for 60,000 euro.
The late Oldenburg licensing Champion Van the Man (by Furst Heinrich x Volturno xx) sired two high sellers at the auction. Fire of Stars (out of a Rohdiamant dam) sold for 31,000 euro, whereas the third most expensive horse, Vom Feinsten, a 4-year old mare by Van the Man out of a Show Star dam, sold for 29,000 euro to the U.S.A.
The 4-year old German Reitpony stallion Naikita (by Nabucco R x Night Power) sold for 5,000 euro.
The average price for a Westfalian sport horse at this auction was 11,357 euro. A group of Italian buyers purchased 8 of 48 auctioned horses!
