The Belgian Equestrian Federation has announced the names of the horses that have been selected to represent Belgium at the 2013 World Championships for young dressage horses in Verden, Germany, on 7 - 11 August 2013. The Belgian selection is based on the highest point total achieved by the horses at a series of young horse selection trials held during the spring.
Belgium will be represented by:
5-year olds
- Special Agent Amour, a Rhinelander stallion by San Amour x Polidiktus van de Helle
Breeder and Rider: Philippe Jorissen - Dolcherie, a Dutch warmblood mare by Painted Black x Krack C
Breeder: IPS Horse Group - Rider: Tom Franckx
The 5-year old reserve pair is Leopold Engelen on Rob van Puijenbroek's Oldenburg gelding Sopresso (by Serano Gold x Depardieu).
6-year olds
- Bailamos Biolley, an SBS registered stallion by Sir Donnerhall I x Florestan
Breeder: Brigitte de Biolley - Rider: Katrien Verreet - Sir Donovan, a Hanoverian stallion by Sir Donnerhall I x Weltmeyer
Breeder: Wolfgang Sohner - Rider: Nick van Laer
The 6-year old reserve is Brecht d'Hoore on the Westfalian gelding Sniper van de Helle (by Sunny Boy x Florestan)
