First in the Junior Inidividual and Junior Kur test, Germany youngster Franziska Schwiebert and her leading man Furst Rohan made an impression at the 2014 CDI Nieuw en St. Joosland on 3 - 6 April 2014. This brand new international show hosted at equestrian centre De Kroo in The Netherlands attracted a large field of European youth riders.
Schwiebert felt that the Outdoor Zeeland event in Nieuw en St. Joosland was a really nice competition!
“On the first day in the team test we were third with 69.144% and it was ok, but we had some mistakes,” said the 17-year old. “On Saturday it was very good and I felt my horse was much more relaxed and we had a lot of fun together!
Taking the Individual test with 69.781% ahead of Dutch rival Lotte Meulendijks on Ohio, Franziska was also pleased with her kur test and with her winning score of 74.750%. “My kur was special because the music we chose had power and I feel this was the perfect match for Furst and I," she explained.
The 10-year old Westfalian gelding Furst Rohan (by Fürst Piccolo x Rosenkavalier) has been with Franziska since his training beginnings, making him even more special in her eyes! “My horse is so crazy, but I love him so much," she said
Trained by her father Rainer at Helenenhof in Kattendorf, Germany, Franziska aims to make the German team for the 2014 European Junior Riders Championships
“I will stay in the juniors for now and continue my studies, and will finish my A-levels in two years," she said about her future plans.
Hoping to go on to study sports management, Fraziska is not planning to make dressage her profession. “I can not imagine myself working in the stables every day. I need something else beside the horses for myself," said the level-headed rider.
