Major Purse to Be Won at 2014 U.S. Dressage Championships

The United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) and United States Equestrian Team Team Foundation announced that, through the efforts of the 2014 Gladstone Dressage Initiative, competitors across all six divisions at the 2014 U.S. Dressage Championships

, aka Festival of Champions, will vie for prize money for the first time in over 10 years.

The Initiative, a group of individuals passionate about the future of U.S. Dressage, has raised $155,000 to be awarded at the event, which will take place June 12-15 at the USET Foundation Headquarters in Gladstone, N.J.

In the U.S. Grand Prix Dressage National Championship, which also serves as the Selection Trial for the 2014 World Equestrian Games US Dressage Team Short List, a total of $130,000 will be on the line. Fifteen of the top U.S. combinations will travel to Gladstone as they look to earn a coveted place on the Short List, as well as stake their claim on the record prize money.

The Intermediaire I Championship, the Under 25 'Brentina Cup' Championship and the Pony, Junior and Young Rider Championship will each award $5,000.
