German Grand Prix rider Christoph Niemann has been appointed the regional team trainer for the Baden Wurttemberg province in Germany. The dressage committee of the BW regional equestrian federation decided this in a meeting on 30 March 2015.
Niemann is replacing Hans-Joachim Braun, who resigned as Baden Wurttemberg's "dressage coordinator" on 17 February 2015. The federation started its search for a new co-ordinator or team trainer since then.
The Walldorf based Niemann is a renowned dressage trainer and Grand Prix rider who has coached riders such as Karen Tebar, Julia Beckfeld and Claudia Pohl.
Most recently he has obtained much training success through his daughter Vivien Niemann, who has been a steady member on the German Junior and Young Riders' team.
