British Dressage is proud to announce a brand new event for 2015, the National Sports Science seminar, a day-long convention to be held at Aylesbury Waterside Theatre, Buckinghamshire on 8 June 2015.

Kindly supported by Chiltern Equine Clinic, the seminar will focus on all aspects not typically covered in training forums. From bitting and saddlery to physiotherapy and performance analysis, this is set to be an event with a difference.

Confirmed speakers for the seminar include Chiltern Equine Clinic vets, Sarah Randall and Ruth Sanders, plus Hilary Vernon who will be focusing on bitting. Team GB saddler, Mark Fisher will also be in attendance, along with Team GB performance analyst, Russell Guire and physios, Andrew Thomas and Christine Hopley who work with Team GB athletes and ponies respectively.

Dr Sarah Randall of the Chiltern Equine Clinic said “We are delighted to have joined forces with British Dressage for the very first National Sports Science Seminar of its kind. Our aim is to educate the wider audience and share best practice within the industry, so we’re excited to be a part of an event that will draw on the experience of world class guest speakers, several of whom played a major part in Team GBR’s success at the London 2012 Olympics and 2014 World Equestrian Games.”

The price of the seminar is £49.00 for members and £55.00 for non-members and is open to all. Tickets include breakfast, lunch, tea and coffee and can be purchased from BD's Kim Moloney.

The seminar’s founder, Central RDO Kim Moloney, spoke of how the event came to fruition: “We have fantastic coaches, judges and riders within the industry and the several conventions that support them are brilliant – but we felt that something was missing. Many are unaware of just how much the fit of their saddle, type of bit and physical condition can affect their horse’s performance. These elements are regular parts of an international rider’s training, so this seminar will be a great opportunity to discover how you can get the very best out of yourself and your horse.”
