Polish Grand Prix rider Tomasz Kowalski has sold his number one Grand Prix horse Ragtime to the German Under 25 rider Laura Reinke.
Ragtime is a 10-year old Oldenburg gelding by Romanov x Sandro Hit x Akzent II. He was bred in Germany by American Ann Kitchel and owned by Andrzej Cichon.
The bay gelding was only competed once in Germany by Falk Rosenbauer at the regional show in Tasdorf in May 2011. He finished fifth in a dressage horse M-level test.
Under Polish Tomasz Kowalski the horse made the transition to international Grand Prix level. As of 2014 the pair traveled to several international CDI's in Eastern Europe. Their career highlights include victories at the 2014 CDI Fot and CDI Radzionkow. The
horses was placed at international competitions such as Zakrow, Kaposvar,
Czosnow and Radzionkow. They lost their form at a few shows where they produced below par performances, such as at the 2014 CDI Salzburg, 2015 CDI Stadl Paura, and at the 2015 CDI-W Brno they retired from the freestyle.
Ragtime was qualified to be selected on the Polish team for the 2015 European Championship but due to a good offer the team behind the horse decided to sell him.
Laura Reinke is based in Frankfurt at Wintermühle and trains with Dutch Olympian Ellen Bontje. She is currently taking part in her second year on the German Piaff Forderpreis Under 25 circuit. This is the second time she has aquired a Polish team Horse after purchasing Zaneta Zworonska's mare With You.
