Diederik van Silfhout's Bonzanjo and Emmelie Scholtens Submitted to Dutch A-Team

Following his performance at the 2015 CDIO Hagen in Germany on 10 - 12 July 2015, Diederik van Silfhout has been submitted to the Dutch A-team with a third horse, Bonzanjo. Emmelie Scholtens and Apache were also submitted to the A-team at the beginning of July.

Van Silfhout and the 9-year old Dutch warmblood Bonzanjo scored 71.900% in the CDIO Grand Prix, 73.725% in the Special and 75.200% in the Kur to Music.

"Bonzanjo did three super tests and only in the Kur he was a bit tired," Van Silfhout explained. "I'm very happy about my star, who really stood his ground against the German power houses. He's only nine years old and it was the first time he did three tests internationally. I'm very happy with his work ethic. Bonzanjo always gives it his all."

Bonzanjo is bred by the late, legendary KWPN breeder Huub van Helgvoirt and is by Jazz x Contango. He is a full brother to Hans Peter Minderhoud's Tango, who has not been out to an international show in more than a year. Tango did his last international at the CDI Barcelona in March 2014.

Diederik van Silfhout is now submitted to the Dutch A-team with three horses (Arlando, Vorst, Bonzanjo). He shares this comfortable position with Minderhoud, who is on to the A-team with Johnson, Flirt and Romanov. Minderhoud has been relying on Johnson and Flirt as his 2015 competition horses as Romanov's last show was the CDI Aachen in July 2014.

Emelie Scholtens and the KWPN stallion Apache (by U40) are the newcomers on the Dutch A-team. They were submitted following their performances at the 2015 CDI Arnheim on 3 - 5 July 2015.
